The Smurfs Movie on DVD/Bluray

I am a member of Crowdtap. I was chosen to host a Smurftastic DVD release party for the new Smurfs movie that was recently released on DVD and Bluray. I was provided with a digital packet of items and ideas for the party. I would like to start out by saying that I initially didn't buy the movie when it came out. My husband rented it from Redbox for our kids' movie night the Friday it was released. The kids liked it, but as often happens at home, my 3 year old wandered a bit while it was on. I didn't get a chance to watch it at that time because I was doing other things. Once my 3 year old saw that there was a Smurfs Christmas Carol included in the combo pack with the DVD and Bluray she made me put it on her Christmas list. She LOVES Christmas! I am not really sure what caught her attention about the bonus mini movie, but she really wanted it. I waited to buy the movie until a day or two before Christmas because I was worried that I would want to give it to my youngest early! I did find a great deal at Kroger for $10 back by mail in specially marked packages! It took about a minute to fill in the form on line and it will take 4-6 weeks to get my $10 gift card (Visa I think) in the mail. Super easy and much better than having to mail anything in! Now, my kids did get several DVD combo packs for Christmas-Kung Foo Panda 2, Cars 2, Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension, Coraline, and The Smurfs. But, the first movie that got watched (twice) was The Smurfs Christmas Carol! My youngest did not disappoint me by asking for it and then ignoring it! She sat and watched it the entire two times! Then the first full length movie that got watched was The Smurfs, I got to watch it that time and I really enjoyed it! My oldest and I were able to laugh at some of the humor my younger kids didn't get and my two youngest actually sat and watch it, which is unusual for a movie at home (because there is so much more to do and play). I thought the movie was Smurftastic and I give it a "high four!"
